  1. You said in your slide covering the corona that the further away you get from the surface, the hotter the surface is. Why is this? If it's hotter at the core of the sun wouldn't it feel hotter closer to the surface?

    1. Theories behind it say it is a combination of density, temperature, and structure. Scientist have never come to a clear conclusion as to why it is hotter than the inner more parts. However, current studies are being done with the satellite called IRIS to measure the heat and patterns that the sun has. Until then the corona's extreme heart will remained one of the great mysteries of the sun.
