  4. Spiral's form from the inner part of the galaxy spinning faster than the outer part. Therefore an imperfect distribution of gravity can cause a split in the disc from which point gravity, centripetal force, and inertia could take over.

    If two galaxies collide it won't be your typical explosion like most people reference to with collisions. It will more likely be a merging of two galaxies. They will combine.
